Every season we focus on a key skill for our young explorers and this spring our focus skill is Empathy, one of our human superpowers! 

The season includes 3 units of experiential, child-led learning around the following themes:

Why Empathy?

“Empathy is not a luxury for human beings; it is a necessity. We survive not because we have claws and not because we have fangs. We survive because we can communicate and collaborate.” —Dr. Dan Siegel

The ability to think about the needs of others and understand the impact of your actions on others around you is a critical life skill. It is at the core of what helps us to maintain relationships, build community, and develop a strong conscience. Taking care of the environment and wondering how other people or creatures may be feeling are essential pieces in the foundation of empathy we are hoping to build within young children.

Spring Season Dates/ Times

This session will run for 6 weeks commencing the week of April 27 2025 with the last class on the week commencing June 1 2025. The season end date may be extended if a class needs to be rescheduled due to weather or teacher absence.

Spring Class Fees (6 Weeks)

*Early Bird Discount ends at midnight Monday April 7.

One full season explorer aged 1.5 - 8 years = $125 *Early bird discount = $110

Full season family rate (20% discount on sibling enrollment) = $225 *Early bird discount = $195

Class costs are prorated after the season begins. 

*All siblings of enrolled explorers who are under 18 months at the time of the season start are welcome to attend and do not need to be registered, but please be aware that any individual materials for explorers will not be prepped for them.

Trial Classes

Trial classes are a great way to find out if 'Nature Play with Vicky' is a good fit for you and your family! You may register for an in-season trial subject to availability at the special trial rate of $10 per child or $15 per family. Class costs can be prorated if you decide to join after your trial. Only one trial is available per family.

Pre-registration for all trial classes is required and can be done through the dedicated trial classes enrollment form on the trial classes page.
