Winter 2023

"Tinkergarten was such a fun experience for us this winter season! It got us out of the house far more often than we would have in the colder months of the year. I truly enjoyed seeing my daughter interact with her teacher, other students and nature during the class. She often brought her learning home by exploring similar activities in our yard. She still sings the songs from class and has become a bit of a tea fanatic (she was a huge fan of the tea to warm up at the end of class). It was fun to watch her learn the routines of the class- at first I was nervous she was too young- but she was able to fit right in. Vicky did an amazing job engaging the students, creating a sense of community and making each class a fun learning experience. We are excited for the spring season of Tinkergarten coming up!"

Spring 2023

"My explorer has always been very shy in social situations. I have noticed that she is enjoying playing alongside other kids a little bit more every week and has begun expressing her emotions freely around others. She seemed to really enjoy making a bird feeder a few weeks ago. She was able to patiently follow instructions. She told me on the car ride back home that she had "fun playing with kids and birds." "

"Nature Play with Vicky taught my explorers how you can use things found in nature in more creative ways and they love the songs that we learned. Both kids loved the forest friend class where they made sock bunnies and got ideas of how to use boxes to make fun things for the forest friends to do."

"My explorer has grown so much and is so much more interactive. I loved seeing him interact with the other kids and it was great to get him out of the house. Every Tuesday night I’d tell him we have nature play tomorrow. He would get so excited and talk about “Miss Vicky and the friends” until we got to nature play Wednesday morning."

Summer 2023

"Being able to be outside and make new friends has been fantastic. We really enjoyed band camp. We loved Tinkergarten. So glad we found it!"

"My explorer got really got comfortable exploring with the class. She grew her independence, which is what we were hoping for. Water play and band camp were great! My explorer didn’t want to stop doing either of those classes. They both were so much fun! Bubble class was also good. Vicky is great and really made class enjoyable. My explorer loved everything- singing, dancing, playing, exploring and learning. We really appreciated the emails and photos."

"My explorer loved working on pouring, mixing, scooping, and spraying during mud play. I was thrilled for this sensory play experience for him."

Fall 2023

"Tinkergarten was a nice routine and the gentle instruction was great practice/introduction for my explorers. My family enjoyed the feast/end of season celebration very much, both because of the special end of class but the activity was a real winner for us too."

"Vicky was fantastic! The hands on activities with my explorers and the other kids really made my son's love attending. They both would always look forward to Friday because they know they would be going to see Ms. Vicky at Tinkergarten. Sad it's over."

"It has been great to get outside for dedicated playtime each week. We especially loved using things in the environment for pretend play. The squirrel class was the best with the obstacle course and everyone pretending to have squirrel tails."

"Nature Play with Vicky is a great opportunity for my kids to socialize with other children, and to play in a creative way that emphasizes a connection with nature. I like that Ms. Vicky encourages us parents to let our children lead in how they play, which is something we often forget to do. Anytime my kids were able to paint with nature paint they had so much fun, and watching them brings me a lot of joy. We love Tinkergarten and Nature Play with Vicky."
